JF-17s welcomed at Kamra

ATTOCK, March 12: It was a historic day for Pakistan when two FJ-17 Thunder fighter aircraft arrived from China at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex in Kamra on Monday. An arrival ceremony for the two aircraft, jointly manufactured by Pakistani and Chinese engineers, was held with a great joy.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed, was chief guest on the occasion.

Senior officers of the Pakistan Air Force and members of the Chinese delegation attended the ceremony.

The air chief inspected JF-17 Thunder aircraft and met with pilots, engineers and technicians.

He appreciated their hard work and devotion for translating a dream into reality.

The JF-17 Thunder aircraft will have its first public appearance in Islamabad on March 23, during flypast of the National Day Joint Services Parade.

The aircraft is an advanced multi-role light combat aircraft jointly invested and developed by China and Pakistan.

It is a key strategic project between the two countries in the military field.

The induction of Thunder JF-17 manufacturing project will be further enhanced at the international level.
