KARACHI: Miniatures at Clifton

KARACHI, Jan 10: An exhibition of miniature paintings titled `Burqa Series’ by Waseem Ahmed opens at the Clifton art gallery on Thursday at5.30pm. Waseem has participated in many international solo and group shows with artists of repute in miniature. His recent work consist of Burqa Series nudes which unveil the human desires and affection. Waseem explores different kinds of contradictions through his art. He paints figures from the traditional miniatures like the Krishna Series along with the popular imaginations such as beauties from the realm of fashion & film. The exhibition will continue till January 31.
