GCC states plan joint N-project

RIYADH, Dec 10: In a direct reaction to the on-going nuclearisation of the region, the Arab Gulf states on Sunday announced considering joint nuclear projects for peaceful purposes. The announcement, made at the summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, came amid concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and reports that Israel has nuclear weapons.

“We hope that our statement (on the study) will not be misunderstood,” Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal, said after the announcement.
