NEW YORK Nov 8: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz arrived in New York on Wednesday morning to present the report of a high-panel set up by Secretary-General Kofi Annan to give more coherence to UN's system of operational activities for development.

Mr Aziz is one of the three co-chairpersons of the panel--others two being Prime Ministers Luisa Dias Diogo of Mozambique and Jens Stoltenberg of Norway.

Mr Annan had assigned them a task of providing the best options for fundamental restructuring of the UN to ensure better coherence and performance in the areas of development, humanitarian assistance and environment. Shaukat Aziz and Stoltenberg will present it to the UN General Assembly, currently holding its 61st session.
