NAWABSHAH, Oct 18: Thirteen former members of the Lyari Task Force (LTF) who faced charges of killing Rasool Bux Brohi in a fake encounter were produced in the sessions court here on Wednesday.

The accused, Inspector Nisarul Hassan, Ishaq Lashari, Mir Farosh, Sarwar alias Sarwar Commando, Abdul Ghani, Iqbal Niazi, Hidayatullah, Niazi, Nazar alias Nazru Khaskheli, Baharuddin Babar, Syed Bahadur Shah, Syed Safdar Shah and Mujeebur Rehman were produced handcuffed in the court amid tight security.

Police did not allow anybody including the members of press to enter the court premises during the case’s proceedings.

Medical certificates and bail application of former SP and head of LTF, Chaudhry Aslam, and Irfan Bahadur and separate bail applications of Inspector Baharuddin Babar were presented to the court.

The district and sessions judge, Ghulam Qadir Leghari, fixed the date of October 21 for taking decision on all the bail applications including those submitted earlier.

Sharif Siyal, counsel of Safdar Shah, said that false allegations had been levelled against his client that weapons, photographs and other documents were found in his car.

The judge adjourned the hearing till November 11.
