KARACHI, July 13: A large number of young children living in the Special Prison for Women in the city had fun for over three hours at a seaside restaurant on Thursday.

Though the children have committed no crime, they are living in the prison with their mothers, who were either convicted or were undertrial prisoners.

A magician entertained the children with tricks during his hour long performance. The children looked amused when the magician took out various things from an empty box, or joined various steel rings and then again separated them without breaking them. The children thoroughly enjoyed the bus-ride from jail to the beach and the splash of seawater with waves that were very high owing to the high tide.

Jimmy Engineer had organized the fun filled trip for children with the help of a local restaurant.

Gift packets, comprising toys, were also distributed among children.
