RAWALPINDI, May 16: After a long dry spell the twin cities on Tuesday received rain, which continued intermittently till late in the evening bringing some relief for the heat-exhausted people of the twin-cities.

The rain was preceded by heavy dust storm which began at 5:25 pm and continued for more than an hour. The rain turned the weather pleasant and the people were observed enjoying it.

A week ago Met Office had warned of a possible drought with no rains expected in the next two months. But on Monday the office predicted rain for Tuesday with isolated dust storm.
