Envoys to Norway, Turkmenistan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 27: Pakistan has appointed Rab Nawaz Khan its new envoy to Norway. Mr Khan joined Foreign Service in August 1975 and has held various diplomatic assignments abroad. He also served as ambassador in Tajikistan (2003-2004).

Presently, he is serving as Director General (headquarters) since December 2004.

Said Akbar Afridi was appointed new ambassador to Turkmenistan on Monday.

Mr Afridi joined Foreign Service in 1978 and held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan missions abroad including Muscat (1981-1984), Kuwait (1987-1990), Maputo (1990-1992) and Jalalabad (1997-2001).

He has been serving as High Commissioner to Male since December 2002.—APP
