Pakistan to play 13 Tests in 2006

KARACHI, Dec 24: Pakistan face a hectic international schedule during 2006 and they will be playing as many 13 Tests during the year, according to programme published in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) guide available on Saturday.

Besides home series against India, Zimbabwe and the West Indies, Pakistan will be touring Sri Lanka, England and India during 2006.

Pakistan will play three Test against India at home (Jan-Feb 2006), two Test against Sri Lanka (March-April 2006) four Tests against England (June-Sept 2006), two Tests each against Zimbabwe and the West Indies at home in November-December 2006.

Apart from featuring in the Champions Trophy in India in October-November 2006, Pakistan will play a minimum of 26 One-day Internationals during 2006.

Pakistan will also be touring South Africa in start of 2007 to play three Test and five ODIs before the World Cup in the West Indies in 2007.

Pakistan’s programme till 2007 World Cup:

Jan-Feb 2006: India to Pakistan (3 Tests, 5 ODIs).

March-April 2006: Pakistan to Sri Lanka (2 Tests, 5 ODIs).

June-Sept: 2006 Pakistan to England (4 Tests, 5 ODIs).

Oct-Nov 2006: Champions Trophy in India.

Nov 2006: Zimbabwe to Pakistan (2 Tests, 3 ODIs).

Dec 2006: West Indies to Pakistan (2 Tests, 3 ODIs).

Jan-Feb 2007: Pakistan to South Africa.
