All-round show by Saba

LAHORE, Dec 14: All-round performance by Saba helped Government College, Satellite Town, Gujranwala beat Government College, Wahdat Road, Lahore by narrow margin of four runs in the opening match of the University of Punjab Inter-collegiate women cricket championship on Wednesday. Batting first, Saba scored 21 runs as the winners earned a total of 97 for eight in 20 overs. Fauzia (18 not out) was the other key scorer.

Fatima and Faiza took two wickets each for Lahore.

In reply, the losers were restricted to 93 all out in 19.5 overs as Saba took three wickets for 18 runs. Sobia also grabbed two wickets. Government College, Baghbanpura will meet College of Physical Education, Lahore.
