MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Dec 2: Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab amir Liaquat Baloch has criticized the government for skyrocketing POL products’ prices, saying the rates in the international market had dropped from $70 per barrel to $56 in a month.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, he also took exception to the donors’ conference and said the rulers, instead of taking the whole nation and parliament into confidence, was taking a solo flight which was discouraging donations.

JI local leaders Syed Ijaz Husain and Rashid Shahid were also present. He urged Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to make the parliamentary committee more sovereign and get all the relief funds approved by it.
