Shahid Afridi in new role

KARACHI, Oct 28: Pakistan’s charismatic all-rounder Shahid Afridi has signed a contract as brand ambassador for Rado, the global watchmaker, according to a press release issued on Friday.

The contract is for one year and could be extended by mutual agreement.

Shahid Afridi, record holder of world’s fastest one-day century as well as the hitter of most sixes in ODIs, is happy with his new role.

“I am proud to be associated with one of the leading companies of the world,” declared Shahid Afridi, currently Pakistan’s most popular sportsperson.

A hard-hitting batsman and more than a useful leg spinner, Shahid Afridi, is expected by the pundits to play a key role for Pakistan in the forthcoming Test and ODI series against England.

Commenting on Afridi’s appointment as brand ambassador Rumman Ahmed of the The Legend felt that “as a market leader in the country for well over three decades the signing up a world class player Shahid Afridi would help enhance the brand’s image with a younger set of customers.”
