High court decides 21 appeals

QUETTA, Aug 8: The Balochistan High Court on Monday decided 21 appeals against rejection of nomination papers of candidates in the local body polls and reserved judgment in five cases.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani and Justice Metha Kelashnath Kohli also issued notices to the parties concerned in 29 other appeals.

The court allowed the appeals of the following appellants: Naseemur Rehman, Rashid Khan, Muhammad Naseem, Bibi Raja, Bibi Rabiya, Misri Khan, Dost Muhammad, Muhammad Saleem, Sohrab Khan, Awaz Ali, Bibi Ruqiya, Zahir Hussain and Ali Ahmed.

It however dismissed the appeals of Mir Wali Jan, Safar Khan, Munir Ahmed, Noor Muhammad, Qari Muhammad Qasim, Syed Muhammad Aslam, Akbar and Abdur Razzak.

The court reserved judgment on the appeals filed by Moheem Khan, Syed Abdul Ahad, Abdul Hamid, Muhammad Akbar and Muhammad Saleem Butt.
