KARACHI, July 25: Five vessels carrying containers, project cargo and steel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships were berthed: They are: Annemieke, Darya YogmDan Yang, Bao Heng Men, with general cargo, Nur Yanbu, Lalazar, Citius, tankers with crude oil and chemicals, Steven-C, to unload DAP fertiliser, and Argonaut, with containers.

Sailing was fairly brisk as 11 ships, Iran Shahryar, Sagamore, Wan Hai-262, Maersk Alaska, Capetan Muchalis, Beluga Enegry, Annemieke, Corin Thaikos, Argonaut, Santa Fe and Flanders Harmony, departed, while Bao Heng Men, Darya Yog, Lalazar and Mefeli-1 are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage soared to 0.107m shares, comprising 41,296 tons of export cargo, including 22,300 tons of liquid tonnage and 5,905 tons of rice and 65,626 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Pu He, Eax Sanctity, Kota Teguh, with containers, Rickers Mumbai, with project cargo, and San Antonio, with 11,685 tons of steel.
