KARACHI, July 18: The Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Monday distributed various items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees to the needy and poor people in New Karachi. Deputy convenor of the MQM Dr Farooq Sattar, incharge coordination committee Anwar Alam, KKF chief Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, ministers Sardar Ahmad, Qamar Mansoor, MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi and Abdul Waseem and others were present on the occasion.

On this occasion sewing machines, clothes, wheelchairs, fans, cycles and other such items were distributed besides giving some financial assistance for meeting marriage expenses of the poor families.

Speaking on the occasion deputy convenor of the MQM, Dr Farooq Sattar, said that his party was committed to serving the poor and downtrodden and if it failed in that, then the purpose of its politics would be defeated.

Criticizing the outgoing city nazim he alleged that despite having over a billion rupees fund, he did not serve them and he was more concerned with inaugurating his name plaque.
