KARACHI: PTV awards for artists

KARACHI, Oct 24: The 12th regional PTV awards ceremony for Sindh for the year 2002 was held here on Thursday.

PTV chairman and federal information secretary Anwar Mehmood distributed awards among the following artists:

Salahuddin Tunio (best actor) Farah Nadeem (best actress), Majid Abid (best supporting actor) and Ms Qamarunissa (supporting actress), Mehmood Mughal (best play writer serial), Qamar Shahbaz (best play writer series), Manzoor Qureshi (best producer drama series), M.B. Qureshi (best producer drama serial), Samina Kanwal (best folk singer), Shaneela Ali (best singer Live), Azad Gaad (best compare), Sami Baloch (best music), Hammed Halepota (best producer children programme), Saleh Shar (best producer current affairs programme), Imdad Hussain (best lyrics), Ustad Ferozuddin (best composer), Ghulam Mohiuddin (best technical audio), Zafar Imam (best technical video), and Mohammed Qasim (best performance engineer).

The PTV also honoured its 20 former staffers by awarding them dedication awards.—APP
