PTV awards ceremony held

PESHAWAR, Oct 23: The 12th PTV regional awards ceremony was held here on Wednesday night.

Rahim Shehzad and Shazma Haleem were declared best actor and actress respectively for 2002.

Some other recepients were Ahmad Gul (best light singer), Abdul Wahab (best folk singer), Master Ali Haider (best music composer), Dr Mohammad Farooq Khan (best compere), Dr Nazir Tabassum (best lyricist), Shamshad Khan (best news caster), Rashid Naz (best supporting actor), Safia Rani (best supporting actress), Hamayun  Hamdard (best playwright, series) and Professor Afzal Raza (best playwright, serial), Alamzeb Aamir (best producer children programme), Abdul Qayyum Hoti (best producer general programmes), Shaukat Ali (best producer shows), Aziz Ejaz (best music composer), Aurangzeb Afridi (best producer drama series), Abdul Qayyum (best cameraman), Afsar Ali (for technical excellence audio), Mohammad Aslam (for technical excellence video), Zubair Ahmad (best engineer), Afraz Ali Syed (best designer) and Nasir Khan (best make-up artist).

The award for best producer drama serial went to Syed Masood Ahmad Shah, while Jehanzeb Khan received the same award in the current affairs category.
