Blind students win laurels in graduation

LAHORE, Sept 26: The students of the first batch of the Aziz Jehan Begum Trust Institute for the Blind came off with flying colours in the BA examination held in 2003.

Saima Saleem, who took the examination with English literature, has secured Ist division and is among the top 10 of the 300 sighted students of the Kinnaird College University, Lahore.

Saima intends doing her masters in English from the same institution, according to a press release issued on Friday.

Sadia Butt, who will get a roll of honour for special skills in co-curricular activities at the Lahore College for Women University, also got Ist division. She has been awarded a scholarship to do her masters at the same university.

Another successful graduate, Maria Naseer, has joined the Government College University to do her masters in English.—APP
