ISLAMABAD, Sept 15: Traffic police have asked the Foreign Office to direct embassies to remove tinted glasses from their vehicles by September 19 otherwise they will be fined.

According to a source, the police, in a letter to chief protocol officer on September 11, had called for informing the embassies that after the grace period of seven days, a campaign would started against embassies’ tinted-glass vehicles plying on the capital roads.

The source said the traffic police were removing films from tinted glasses of 10 to 11 vehicles daily, adding that drivers of about 912 such vehicles were fined during the last three months.—APP
