HYDERABAD, Aug 31: Politicians, intellectuals, writers and poets on Saturday paid rich tribute to the services of the late Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid in the cause of Pakistan and Sindh and in the promotion of education, literature and journalism.

They were speaking at the 7th death anniversary of Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid, held at the Mumtaz Mirza auditorium, Sindh Museum, under the aegis of the Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid Memorial Society.

Speaking on the occasion, renowned scholar and educationist, Dr Nabi Bux Khan Baloch, said that Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid and his family had rendered yeomen services to the people of Sindh in every walk of life including politics and journalism.

He said Mr Qazi will always be remembered as a great leader of Sindh. He said the need of the hour was to emulate Mr Qazi for the prosperity of Sindh.

Noted educationist Prof Dr Ghulam Ali Allana recalled the services of Mr Qazi in the cause of education as a minister.
