SRINAGAR, May 27: Suspected freedom fighters shot dead a former colleague, his wife and father in Kashmir, while one person was killed in cross-border firing between India and Pakistan, officials said on Tuesday.

Gunmen late on Monday barged into the home of Rafiq Gujjar in the remote village of Arin Dardpora in northern Baramulla district.

Police said Gujjar was a surrendered Kashmiri fighter working with police.
