SUKKUR, June 30: A young Hindu girl went missing after she left her home for a temple in Shah Ghazi locality in Jacobabad on Sunday.

The girl’s relatives informed police who raided a house owned by one Haq Nawaz Thaheem in Dangar locality to recover Deepa Kumari, daughter of a Mukesh Kumar, a shopkeeper, but found it locked up.

Sources close to the families said that there were contacts between Deepa Kumari and Zohaib, son of Haq Nawaz Thaheem.

The sources said that Deepa Kumari had eloped her house early in the morning on Sunday and run away with Zohaib to Amrot Sharif where she was likely to embrace Islam and tie the knot with her beloved.

No case was registered at the city police station neither any arrest had been made till the filing of this report.
