Police nab killer of teenage boy in Hyderabad, solve case mystery

HYDERABAD: Police have arrested alleged murderer of a teen aged boy on Friday and produced him before journalists at a press conference addressed by SSP Hyderabad, Saqib Ismail Memon.

SSP Memon identified him as Bilal – a close friend of Wijdan alias Waji whose body was found stuffed in a suit case in the field on Wednesday within the jurisdiction of Budhani police station.

According to accused, Wijdan asked him to stage a drama of his kidnapping as he needs around Rs1.5 to Rs2 million to repay a borrowed amount and therefore the same should be obtained from his father, Javed Memon by staging this farce.

The accused said that the drama was accordingly but then the deceased had second thoughts and asked Bilal to speak truth and disclose it to his father. But Bilal didn’t agree and trained his gun at this head which accidentally went off. “I thought that there was no bullet in the gun,” the accused told journalists.

Police have recovered the gun and showed it to media personnel. The murder took place in the house of Bilal who lives near the home of Javed Memon in Fareed Plaza Liaquat Colony.

He then stuffed the body in the suitcase and threw it in the fields in the outskirts of the city which was found on Wednesday morning.

Deceased’s father, however, rejected claim of accused. “My son used to spend only Rs50 and nothing beyond. It is simply a lie. Why will he be having a debt of such huge amount? He simply a ninth grade student,” Memon told Dawn.com.

He further said that Bilal’s brother Ali is also involved in the incident and that’s why he is missing and he has asked police to arrest him as well. “Bilal and Ali were with us on Tuesday night until 2.30am to locate my son and then they went missing at 3am,” he said and added that the two brothers had led us to a food outlet in Defence area in search of his innocent child.

He said that Bilal lives near his plaza admit that he used to meet his son.

SSP Saqib Ismail Memon said that police investigators are carrying out extensive investigation of the case.

Replying to a question, he informed that two accused persons have been arrested by the police, who were allegedly involved in the murder of four brother of Solangi community recently. The investigators also got some success in MCB robbery and murder case, he added.

Responding to a question, the SSP said that more police force is required in the district to control the increasing rate of incidents. Though on the directives of DIG Hyderabad, 120 policemen have been deputed to District Police Hyderabad, however there is need of more policemen to combat crimes and criminals, he added.
