MOSCOW: Legendary US television presenter Larry King announced on Wednesday that he was moving his show to a Kremlin-funded TV station that primarily broadcasts Moscow's views on world affairs.

RT channel director Margarita Simonyan tweeted a link to a TV ad in which the suspenders-wearing veteran makes the grand announcement himself.

“I would rather ask questions to people in positions of power instead of speaking on their behalf,” King said in the ad.

“That's why you can find my show Larry King Now right here on RT.” The television station itself said that King was likely to interview Russian politicians for his show but provided no information about its start date.
