WASHINGTON: Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will visit the White House on Friday.

The White House said Tuesday that Rasmussen and President Barack Obama will discuss security issues, including Afghanistan, where Nato and the US are preparing for the final withdrawal of international combat troops by the end of 2014.

They'll also discuss defense capabilities for allies and the sharing of the burden of improving security on both sides of the Atlantic.
