ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a session of the National Assembly for June 1, DawnNews reported.

A spokesman for the Presidency said the president had approved the advice sent to his office by caretaker premier Mir Hazar Khan Khoso for convening the NA session on the said date.

Moreover, a formal notification has also been released in this regard under which the session of the new National Assembly will be held at 10 pm on June 1 at Parliament House.

June 1 is the cut-off date for convening the NA session because the house has to meet no later than 21 days after the general elections which were held on May 11.
