QUETTA, May 26: The Baloch National Movement, Noori Naseer Khan Caravan and the banned Baloch Republican Party and Baloch Liberation Front organisations have opposed handing over the operational control of Gwadar port to a Chinese firm and the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.

In separate statements, they said agreements on the port and the pipeline project signed with China and Iran “have no lawful authority because they lack the consent of Baloch leadership”.

“Being legitimate owners of the port and the areas through which the proposed gas pipeline will pass, the Baloch people will never allow foreign countries to utilise resources belonging to them without their consent,” they warned.
