ISLAMABAD: Central Secretary Information of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Dr Shireen Mazari on Thursday said that her party, which is set to form the provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will cooperate fully with the central government to tackle terrorism.

She also urged all political parties to unite against terrorism to deal with the issue through dialogue, adding that her party believed in addressing this challenge through negotiations and evolving consensus among all stakeholders.

Talking to a private television channel, Shireen Mazari said that there was a need for a conducive environment for negotiations to address the issue.

Replying to a question about the PTI’s strategy in KP, she said the party will follow the policy of “disengagement, isolation and exterminate” against militants in Khyber Paktunkhwa to address the problem of terrorism.

Mazari said her party would favour dialogue with those militant groups only, that believe in the writ of state and constitution of the country.

The PTI secretary information said that initial efforts would be made to disengage militants from the justification of current war, which would make smooth ground for negotiations.

She said that successful negotiations would only be possible, when all stakeholders will be engaged.
