CHARSADDA, May 22: The Tangi police lodged FIR against JUI candidate Mufti Gohar Shah and two other party leaders for attacking office of returning officer of PK-20, hurling threats and displaying arms on the premises of the court on Wednesday.

Mufti Gohar Shah of JUI had submitted an application before the RO, demanding re-polling on the seat for alleged rigging on May 11. The RO set Wednesday (May 22) as date for hearing.

But during the hearing, a large number of supporters of the JUI candidate gathered in front of the RO office and started slogans before the start of the hearing. —Correspondent
