KARACHI, May 6: Sindh Government Secretary of Tourism and Culture Abdul Hameed Akhund has been transferred and asked to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

His transfer was ordered by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad when he visited prominent film artist Lehri at his residence. He regretted that a person who made people laugh for over 30 years was not being looked after by anyone.

The governor was reportedly annoyed over the indifferent attitude of the department of culture towards the welfare of senior artists and asked the Sindh chief secretary to transfer Mr Akhund.
