Rehman hat-trick helps KESC rout SSGC

KARACHI, Nov 14 Abdul Rehman from Lyari scored the 10th hat-trick of the ongoing Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) to enable Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to award a 6-1 thrashing to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) at the Peoples Sports Complex here on Sunday.

The one-sided encounter saw Rehman scoring in the 18th, 25th and 74th minutes with the rest of the goals coming from Mohammad Riaz (57th min), Aurangzeb Shahmir (63rd min) and Akbar Ali (67th min). SSCG's consolation goal came via Imran in the 81st minute.

In the other match played in Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) shared a point each after playing a goalless draw at the CDGK Stadium.

Meanwhile, Railways Stadium in Lahore witnessed the day's other draw when Wapda and Army ended the match on a 1-1 score line. Mohammad Afzal (60th min) scored for Wapda and Abdul Rehman (77th min) restored the parity for Army.

Young Blood FC, meanwhile, edged past Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) 1-0 at the Rai Ali Nawaz Stadium in Sahiwal thanks to Asim Mansoor's golden goal in the 51st minute.

Monday's fixtures PEL v PAF at the Model Town Football Academy Ground, Lahore (2.30pm); PMC Athletico v Navy at PMC Football Ground, Faisalabad (2.30pm); Baloch FC v KPT at Nushki Football Stadium, Nushki (3.00pm); Afghan FC v PIA at Govt High School, Chaman (3.00pm).
