PESHAWAR: A bomb blast occurred on Monday targeting an election office of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Charsadda’s Shabqadar Mirzai area on Monday, DawnNews reported.
According to sources, a man was injured in a blast and the party’s office was completely destroyed.
Police cordoned off the area and started an investigation.
Three parties — PPP, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) – have vowed to fight terror and have braved attacks on them by the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in their campaign to contest the coming elections.
The May 11 polls will witness the first democratic transition of power in Pakistan whose democratic history is plagued with military’s interventions.

Now things are getting clearer that secret hands have started their maneuvers to postpone the elections. It would be better if establishment pick and choose the technocrats and install new interim government for at least 3-5 years. On the other hand, the authorities must envision to arrange presidential form of government which is more suitable in Pakistan rather than parliamentary form of govt which is nothing but a blackmailing form of govt. The presidential election must be direct like USA and the incumbent can select his own cabinet not cronies.
