CHARSADDA, March 24: An explosive device went off near the house of former MPA Babar Ali Mohmand in Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda district on Sunday.

The blast partially damaged the house of Mr Mohmand. It was second blast outside the house of the former lawmaker during the past one week.

Sources said that the device was planted by unidentified persons outside the house of Mr Mohmand that exploded with a big bang and damaged the house partially.

Police registered a case against unidentified persons and started investigation.

Mr Mohmand, a leader of Qaumi Watan Party, was elected to the provincial assembly after the death of his father former MPA Mohammad Ali Mohmand. —Correspondent
