KARACHI: Senior PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Thursday said that the party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would not lead the election campaign due to security reasons.

Instead he said former prime ministers Yousuf Raza Gillani and Raja Pervez Ashraf would lead the election campaign in Punjab, while he would lead the campaign in Sindh.

Addressing the media in Karachi, Amin Fahim said that the party had already sacrificed Benazir Bhutto and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for the country.

When asked where is Bilawal Bhutto right now, the party leader said that he is not aware whether Bilawal is abroad or in the country.

He said PPP is hopeful of giving a surprise in the upcoming elections by securing enough seats to ensure that it would be part of the next government formation process.
