Still another incident of vandalism and madness against Christians on the allegations of blasphemy has resulted in 178 homes being arsoned and 35 people being injured.

The list of the persecution against minorities in Pakistan is endless and horrible. Punjab had remained the epicentre of such victimisation against minorities.

From the agitation against Ahmadis in the 50s to this tragic incident today, the history of such cruelty against minorities is written in blood.

The bold voices of Salman Taseer and Bhatti against these brutalities had been silenced forever. Now the hatred against minorities has crossed limits.

we muslims living in foreign countries should come together and contribute monetarily to the people of Joseph colony,so that they can rebuild their homes and moveable assets. We should also come together and condemn this act in our mosques and gatherings.I as a muslim pray for our christian brethrens and want to tell those with whom we live here that what the atrocities they see in Pakistan or in other parts of the muslim diaspora has nothing got to do with Islam.Look at those young muslim named boys of Quetta, who were taking money to commit terrorit crimes in Quetta and also many others, as these young ones are doing the same thing in other parts of pakistan. Its like human life has no value only money matters.

That is because there are no "Christian" countries in the West - except perhaps for the Vatican City. All those countries are secular democracies that value humanity far above the madness of religion.

If the victims of Joseph Colony, Badami Bagh, Lahore, are allotted houses in the Ashiana housing scheme, the purpose of arsonists is achieved. On the prized land a multi-storied plaza will be built in the near future.

The only way blasphemy misuse can be stopped is by awarding death penalty to the accused in case the accusation is proved false.

When hindus were killed and slowly they left Pakisatn, nobody raised their voices. This should have been done years ago. Too late now, I must say.

I am glad to see that voices of reason are starting to be heard. The silent majority must take action. As the saying goes, if no one helps the victimized then one day there will be no one to protect them as well.
