NOW the clouds of doubt about Pakistan’s next general election are gradually clearing. Voters must have some checklist before candidates knock at our door. Voters should ask candidates that they had promised us the construction of model villages where primary schools, secondary schools, water and sanitation, roads from village to market would be constructed, but they left “us the day we elected them”.

Terrorism has increased, corruption has increased manifold and poverty has broken our back.

The last two floods in 2010 and 2011 have further aggravated the situation. In the last five years every basic indicator of life has touched the lowest level and the world is seriously considering us to be a failed state.

Polio is far away from eradication in Pakistan. Every country in the world is achieving all Millennium Development Goals set by the UN but we are far away from achieving even a single development goal.

MDG targets are in the middle of a crisis and unachievable because of the various issues concerning our governance. Our children are dying of measles which has been eradicated by others in the word many years ago. How does the candidate plan to fight the above battles?

We are living in dark ages once more. Our life has expired, and we are living on borrowed time. The vagaries of life are such that we are worst off than pre historic an living in the cave,. He was a free an with no contractual liability. He must have lived with ample supply of foog and kill. HE lived a care free and happy life. In comparison to his life, we fight the battles , wage wars to get rid of crises and eliminate terrorism poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, and food. We have shortages of every thing. How can we survive in these conditions. Remember the "Survival of the fittest" doctrine postulated by Darwin. We may not be the fittest ,, but we are surviving1 Is n"t it a miracle. We are living in thedark ages, we are worse than pre cave man. He must have lived in a better place, clean air, clean water, less of pollution, no epidemics, no shut downs of electricity. And above all no social contraci to become a slave like us. He did not need transportatiion. No Railways, no PIA . He must have lad a better life. We cannot fight terrorismalone. we are pertners in War on Terrorism. We have Talibans. We have become intolerant, violent and belligerent, cry babies. We are fighting the battle against our biases, prejudices, pride , violence killing, terroristattacks, drone attacks, epideic, dengue mosquito and what not. We want to eliinate illiteracy, poverty, pollution, freedom , fudaentalism, and other maladies that plague us,. Good luck we have become warriors. Javaid Bashir Lahore

Candidates never come to your door to knock. They have assistants, who have workers, who contact you, and they have no clue how the candidate is going to work, if he is elected. They have answers that they have been told, or they have thought out themselves. If they have any clever answer, it is not coming from the candidate who has no clue how votes have been bagged. Asking questions is possible only in a small crowd, that too, if the candidate is addressing them.
