THIS is apropos of I.A. Rehman’s article ‘No wrong turn now’ (Feb 7). According to the writer, maturity in politics would come if normal political activities are not obstructed by the so-called hidden hand. True. However, it is equally imperative to put an end to the prevalent ‘dynastic politics’ here, in order to get political maturity. The intra-party elections, in letter and in spirit, should be considered a pre-requisite for contesting elections. The elections would remain a farce if the reins of power are given in the hands of laymen. Undoubtedly, that would be the actual coveted political maturity. KAMAL ZADA Wah Cantt
