THIS refers to the report (Dec 14) wherein UNHCR has welcomed the government decision to allow Afghan refugees the right to stay for another six months. This is alarming.

Why has the government given the 1.6 million Afghan refugees the right to live in Pakistan, leave alone extending their stay for another six months?

It is time the government reviewed its policies and decisions about an issue which has brought only destruction to the country. The arms, ammunition and terrorism are a legacy of this war which should be ended as soon as possible.

Pakistan is the one which is accused all the time of terrorism and extremism, created as a result of fighting against the USSR.

i dont think afghan refugess are to be blamed for the problems facing pakistan . on the contrary these problems arenot only the making but also exporting to neighbouring countries of Pakistans army and intelligence services These afghan refugees are the victim of wrong and unjust Pakistani policies. Afterall it was the Pakistani army who started killing its own people best examples are known to the whole world

See the lives of minority of that country, facing deprivation, killing and injustices till yet. There is foreign hand involved in Pakistan trying divide people, world community did not prove honest by having their unjust and biased attitude in settling burning issues. There need justice and honesty. You must see historical events of neighboring country honestly.

It's unfair to blame all Afghans for Pakistan's problems. It's not like Pakistan was doing great politically or economically before the Afghans arrived. Millions of Afghans lost their lives against the Soviets. Afghan refugees born in Pakistan cheer for the Pakistan cricket team and know only Pakistan as their home. Why would they want to harm it? We should not make such blanket statements against an entire nation.
