21:55 PST

Dirk Nannes, commentating for BBC Test Match Special, says:

"India and Pakistan's net run rate are so close together that if it rains on Tuesday, those last few balls India faced could make all the difference."

21:43 PST

India achieve their target with three overs to spare, run-rate will be a big factor if India beat South Africa and Pakistan beat Australia. Ajmal was once again not properly utilised, and even before the match was out Pakistan's grip, it seemed Hafeez was playing for the net run rate. Pakistan, India and South Africa all in with a sniff. Pakistan's NRR -0.43, India's -0.45 and South Africa's -0.605.

21:42 PST

BOUNDARY- Four Kohli smashes Gul on the up, great shot! Gul follows it up with a no-ball! He looks a more capable batsman on the back of this performance. The free hit is squeezed through the covers for four! 16 runs off the over!

21:37 PST

Gul on now, and Kohli attempts to slog his slower bouncer out of the park, Nazir drops it running in from deep. Points at the flood lights after the miss?

21:34 PST

BOUNDARY- Yuvraj throws everything behind that, no chance for the fielder at long on.

21:32 PST

29 from 36. Who will it for Pakistan, can Gul do it? Afridi in his last over as India continue to just knock it around. Hafeez's captaincy not so great today, seems confused. His team has not responded well either.

21:30 PST

BOUNDARY- SIX! Kohli slams Ajmal over long! Great shot, the Pakistan spinners looking completely ineffective here.

21:29 PST

BOUNDARY- Hafeez throws it up in the air and Yuvraj sweeps it powerfully for four.

21:23 PST

BOUNDARY- Kohli plays another exquiste shot off Ajmal, almost ovff the stumps, cut to backward point!

21:21 PST

Yuvraj promoted up the order, great captaincy by Dhoni. It seems to be Yuvraj's day today, two wickets and a run out, some runs to top it off?

21:19

WICKET- Sehwag falls next ball, his big shot finding Gul at long off who balances well stay inside the ropes.

21:18 PST

BOUNDARY- Sehwag cuts Afridi for four, no problem at all.

21:16 PST

DROPPED- Umar Akmal drops Kohli at point, great attempt, was parallel to the ground.

21:14 PST

BOUNDARY- Arafat into the attack and Kohli welcomes him with two fours. The first one a cover drive on the up, great timing!

21:11 PST

No slip in place! Kohli dances down the track and edge Afridi to where first slip should have been!

21:07 PST

BOUNDARY- SIX! Kohli comes down the track and picks Shahid Afridi for a big one over long off.

21:03 PST

BOUNDARY- Virat Kohli goes on the back foot and plays a beautiful shot off Saeed Ajmal. Ajmal disappointed with the fielder in the ring. India comfortably placed at 36/1 in 6.

20:59 PST

BOUNDARY- WICKET- Sehwag strikes two fours, one of Gul and the other a paddle sweep off Hasan. He looks very comfortable out there and reports about his indifferent attitude in practice sessions seem pretty irrelevant. He can sit around and still play this way.

Hi Pakistani Supporters. I am commenting from across the border. It was a good match and India played better on the day. Don't get disheartened, remember it is a T20 and whoever plays better on the day wins. All said and done i was humbled to see Pakistani supporters coming out to support their team in beautiful green gears and props. Due to political reasons cricket is not being played in Pakistan but still you guys show a lot of heart to support your team. You guys rock! Here's a salute to the brothers of Hind-Pak.

Hi Pakistani supporters. I am commenting from India. It was a good match and India played well on the day. Do not read much in the analysis, this is T20 and whoever performs well on the day wins. But i want to thank you for coming out in numbers to support your team in Srilanka. Due to political reasons cricket is not being played in Pak unfortunately, but you guys have a rocking spirit :) Here's a toast to Hind-Pak friends forever.

Guys I am reading an old statement of Aquib Javed. He wondered Indian cricket used to be nervous and and never looking at eyes in past, but new team had become different he said. Let me tell you thats not by chance or some training. India is a big country, each region has different kind of people. Population of Pakistan, India has same number of Pakistani type people in India. Similarly population of Srilanka, Bangaladesh, Nepal, India has similar number of same kind of people in India too. India is so big population that remaining people look like China, tibbet too. So difference of attitude, Aquib Javed saw in two teams of India of two decades was not by chance he might not know (I remember he said new Indian team is too agressive, too Pakistani?). It was the fact that team India in past had only 2-3 north Indians, while new team got 5-6 north Indians. That makes difference of attitude. I also remember Amir Sohail showing aggresice genture to Venkatesh Prasad in world cup. Venkatesh Prasad bowled out Amir Sohail but never looked at eyes of Amir Sohail. Same Amir Sohail had situation when he commened something on Siddhu and Siddhur pulled his bach and ran towards Amir Sohail. So you can see difference of attitude between Venkatesh Prasad (gentleman, south Indian, educated) and Navjot Siddhiu (aggresive, north Indian). I understand foreign countries will stereotype whole country as India and Pakistan will go one step ahead and stereotype India as Hindu, but people need to educate there are vareity of people within India vary by region.

Right Wasim-Waqar had upper hand over Gavaskar and company that time. Indian batting was better and Pak bowling was better even that time too. Pak bowling's lead was same as today, but Indian batting's lead was not as good as today. Pak had very good batsman like Miandad. Gavaskar as a technical batsman was excellent but he had no skills for game like ODI. Indian team that time didn't have X-factor.

No, you are denying the fact by result of just one match. Imran-Akram time Pak team was the best ever Pak team, while Dhoni-Ganguli time team has been the best ever Indian team. Pakistan has no longer been stronger team recently, but current Pak team is doing good and in the process of build and growth I believe.

Pakistan team has nine punjabis and two pathans. Is this a team from Pakistan or two provinces only. Thats the main reason of the defeat. No merit.

India is still below Pakistan in run rate and South Africa are tough team to beat.So still tall order for India as South Africa is not easy team to play with.In all probability Pakistan will beat Australia if they don't repeat today's performance.

First of all its Raza & not Raja. Secondly its Pakistan & not Pakisthan. This proves you zahil (jahil) & not Zaid Hamid. Yes you are right Pakistan is suffering from world cup jinx against India, lets see when we break it but we have better overall record in sports vs India..

Pakistan is unpredictable & unpredictability is unprofessional. When unpredictable clicks it produces wonders and when goes down the result is like today's match. Consistency is the name of the game, and consistency is for pure professionals.

May be they are half-blind, but you are completely blind without any doubt. This mediocre team thrashed India in a warm-up match few days back. Take some medicines for your memory. Else, see a psycho specialist.
