COMILLA: Indian Muslim refugees are continuing to pour into this town and the district bordering on India.
The refugees from Tripura, estimated at more than 13,000 in Comilla district since the first trickle began in early June, evoke both sympathy and concern.
This ragged army of men, women and children, is housed in two relief camps, about six miles from Comilla.
Rice, Dal and a vegetable curry forms the evening meal. In the morning they get milk, molasses and wheat bread. The relief is provided on a Government contribution of Rs 15 per adult and Rs 6 per child per month, up to a monthly limit of Rs 50 per family. This has been supplemented by donations from the public.
