LAHORE, Dec 18: The Punjab government promoted on Wednesday nine women associate professors as professors, posting majority of them as principals of various colleges.

Their promotion was subject to the decision of a writ petition on the issue.

Associate Prof (chemistry) Yasmin Mufti of the Government College for Women, Multan, was posted as principal of the same college on her promotion.

Government College for Home Economics Associate Prof (English) Mrs Maryam Salim was posted as professor in the Government College for Women, Samanabad, Lahore.

Government College for Women, Kot Khwaja Saeed, principal Associate Prof Mrs Zahida Iftikhar was transferred after her promotion and posted as Government College for Women, Sheikhupura, principal.

Government College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, Associate Prof (political science) Mrs Nasim Akhtar was posted as professor in the same college.

Government College for Women, Jhelum, Associate Prof (geology) Ms Zarin Qaisra Minhas was posted as principal in the same college upon her promotion.

Government College of Education, Lahore, Associate Prof (English) Mrs Amina Sheikh was posted as professor at the Queen Mary College, Lahore.

Home Economics College, Gulberg, Lahore, Associate Prof Mrs Saeeda Ghani was posted as professor in the same college upon her promotion.

Government College for Women, Gulberg, Associate Prof (Islamic Studies) Mrs Zahida Rafiq was posted as principal in the same college.

Government College for Women, Muraghzar Colony, Gujrat Associate Prof Azra Zulfikar Ghani was posted as professor of physics in the same college.

Meanwhile, the government cancelled the orders posting Ahmad Mubarik Ahmad as Faisalabad CIA SP. He was posted as Punjab CID SP in Lahore.

Vehari DCO Rana Muhammad Irshad was transferred and posted as Vehari DO (revenue).
