ISLAMABAD, June 29: Members of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) on Tuesday submitted an adjournment motion to the National Assembly Secretariat on the murder of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Pir Binyamin Rizvi , a source told Dawn on Tuesday.

The motion, submitted under Rule 92 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in National Assembly 1992, has been signed by 17 members of the Opposition.

THE MOTION STATES: "Pir Binyamin Rizvi, a prominent leader of the PML-N has been murdered in daylight on a busy road of Lahore which is a political target killing and has caused grave concern amongst the general public. It is a matter of recent occurrence and needs immediate discussion on the floor of the house adjourning the business of the National Assembly."

The movers of the adjournment motion are: Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Tehmina Daultana, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Imran Khan, Khawaja Asif, Syed Khursheed Shah, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, Raja Nadir Pervez, Sahibzada Fazal Karim, Krishan Bheel, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Nasir, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ishrat Ashraf, Raja Mohammad Asad Khan and Rana Asif Tauseef.
