Hockey team for Europe

KARACHI, June 2: A 20-member national senior hockey team leave for Europe for a month-long training tour on Thursday as part of their build-up for Athens Olympics. The team will first land in Birmingham, England to play a three-nation tournament against Great Britain and Australia starting from June 6 to 12.

From June 13 to 14 they would play Test matches against Germany in Berlin and then take part in Hamburg Masters four-nation tournament from June 18 to 20. The other nations are: Germany, Korea, Argentina.

The team will then head to Amsterdam to participate in June 22-July 4 Rabobank Trophy. Pakistan, Germany, Holland and India will be featuring in the event. The team will return on July 6.
