KARACHI July 28: Dr Ishrat Husain, Dean and Director Institute of Business Administration (IBA), has urged the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to develop code of corporate governance in accordance with international principles to reflect openness and transparency in reporting of corporate affairs.

He was speaking at the Best Corporate Report Awards (BCRA) distribution ceremony, organised by a joint committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), says a joint press release of the ICAP-ICMAP.

For determining the awards, companies had been categorised in six sectors including financial, chemical and fertiliser, engineering, fuel and energy, textile and miscellaneous.

Allied Bank Limited, Fauji Fertiliser Company Limited, Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited, Attock Petroleum Limited, Crescent Textile Mills Limited and Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited won first positions in their respective sectors.
