SUKKUR, July 20: Dost Mohammad alias Doso Misrani, a bandit with Rs2 million head money, was injured in a clash between two groups of criminals over a plot of land in Shah Belo forest near here late on Saturday night.

According to informed sources, Doso Misrani had a dispute with another bandit Datar Dino Misrani over a piece of land and last night both the groups exchanged fire, which according to sources, continued for an hour. As a result, Dost Mohammad received bullet injuries and vanished into the forest, while some of the sources claimed that he had succumbed to injuries and died but the reports could not be confirmed.

According to the police sources Dost Mohammad, who is wanted by the police to in more than 100 cases of heinous crimes including murder, kidnapping, dacoities, encounters with the police, was said to be uncrowned king of Shah Belo for 20 years.

Police sources claimed that an extensive operation is very likely in Shah Belo to eliminate bandits from the area.

CLASH OVER WATER: Ten persons, including women, were injured in an armed clash between two groups of farmers over irrigation water, in Pir Bux Malik village near Pano Akil on Saturday night.

Reports said that growers belonging to Malik and Selro communities clashed over distribution of irrigation water and used wooden sticks and hatchets against each other and as a result ten persons, including women were injured who were shifted to taluka hospital, Pano Akil.

Those injured included: Mst. Rani, Mst. Shabana, Zulfiqar Seelro, Allah Warrayo, Saleem Malik, Jawed and others. Area police were investigating the matter, but no case was registered till the filing of this report.
