Jordan sends mobile hospital

ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri has said he will soon be embarking on a tour of Arab countries to generate aid and donations for the West Bank.

Mr Kasuri said this while talking to visiting Prince Rashed Bin-Al-Hassan, chief of the Jordanian Relief Agencies here on Wednesday.

Prince Rashed arrived here on Tuesday, bringing with him a 50-bed mobile hospital to be deployed in Rawalakot.

Mr Kasuri said he will also use this occasion to launch an appeal for greater assistance to Pakistan for the relief and rehabilitation of earthquake victims.

He expressed the profound gratitude of the Government of Pakistan for the prompt assistance extended by the Government of Jordan to Pakistan in its hour of need.

Mr Kasuri briefed Prince Rashed on the scale of the disaster. The Prince stated that Jordan understood the magnitude of the calamity and would continue to extend assistance to Pakistan in connection with the victims.
