Published July 20, 2005

CENTURION (South Africa), July 19: Richard Pybus, who guided Pakistan to the 1999 World Cup final, has been appointed coach of Easterns Titans in South Africa. Pybus, who was born in England, replaces former coach Dave Nosworthy and will return to coaching in South African domestic cricket after two spells with Border between 1998 and 2001.

The 41-year-old Pybus had two other spells with the Pakistanis between 2001 and 2003. He will be working with a new captain in Justin Kemp, after former skipper Daryll Cullinan retired at the end of last season.—Reuters
