QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has dispelled the impression that decisions regarding the province were being made in Islamabad.

Speaking to media representatives after oath taking ceremony of newly appointed Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai on Thursday, he said the three-party coalition was determined to work for restoration of peace in the province.

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa administered oath to the newly appointed governor.

“We have come for change and we will do so,” Dr Baloch said, adding that the coalition government was making decisions in Quetta rather than Islamabad.

When asked about delay in formation of the provincial cabinet, he said the cabinet would be formed within next couple of days.

Regarding appointment of the new governor, the chief minister said a long standing demand of Pashtuns has been met after the appointment of Muhammad Khan Achakzai as the governor of Balochistan.
