QUETTA: Chief of Balochistan National Party (BNP), Sardar Akhtar Mengal has said that mutilated bodies were still being found in different parts of the province.

Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaquat Baloch called on Sardar Akhtar Mengal at his residence on Saturday. Both leaders discussed prevailing political situation in Balochistan and rest of the country.

"The number of missing persons has increased," Sardar Mengal said. He said despite repeated claims on the part of rulers, Baloch political workers were still being picked up and their dead bodies were being found.

The BNP chief described the recently held elections as rigged and a conspiracy to keep away true representatives from parliament.

"Victory of our candidates was turned into defeat," Sardar Mengal claimed, adding that the election commission and returning officers were using delaying tactics in terms of announcement of results.

He said despite serious reservations and apprehensions, BNP participated in the elections. "People voted for us but they were deprived of true representatives," the BNP Chief added.

Liaquat Baloch of JI endorsed the complaints of Sardar Mengal and said rulers must take practical measures to address the grievances of the Baloch masses. He said policies of the ruling class have pushed Balochistan towards bloodshed.

The JI leader invited Sardar Akhtar to visit Lahore.
