ISLAMABAD: Re-polling in one national and two provincial assembly seats from Karachi would be carried out on May 19, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced Tuesday.

Polling was not held as per schedule on May 11 at some stations in the metropolis due to the absence of presiding officers and electoral staff.

Due to the widespread complaints of alleged rigging and irregularities, the ECP had postponed polling in 43 polling stations of NA-250, PS-112 and PS-113 constituencies.

Re-polling will now be carried out on Sunday from 8 am in the morning till 5 pm in the evening.

Meanwhile, the colour of the ballot papers has also been changed. The colour of the ballot paper denoting NA would be white whereas the ballot paper for the provincial seat would be green.
